Washingtonville Police Chief Stephen Bogert has been placed on administrative leave, but the department and village have not detailed the reasoning for the move.
Washingtonville Mayor Kevin Hudson says he is hoping for a fair and unbiased investigation and hopes the situation will be resolved soon.
News 12 Hudson Valley tried to contact Bogert, but he could not be reached for comment.
