A large water main break on Route 17 and Eagle Valley Road in Sloatsburg Wednesday snarled southbound traffic on Route 17. Many area residents were without water and Sloatsburg Elementary School closed

Water main break in Sloatsburg snarls rush hour traffic on Rte. 17
A large water main break on Route 17 and Eagle Valley Road in Sloatsburg Wednesday snarled southbound traffic on Route 17.
Many area residents were without water and Sloatsburg Elementary School closed for the day due to the main break. United Water says the water is back on for just about everyone affected in the village.
United Water is working to replace the main and get the road totally reopened so there aren't the same traffic issues for the evening's commute.
