News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says the Hudson Valley will see sunny skies for most of Monday before the arrival of late-night storms.

NEW: Expecting another round of storms overnight Monday. Flood risk is slight for Westchester, Rockland and Orange county with marginal for areas to the North. Severe risk is low, however some storms could be strong and bring another round of heavy downpours for the area.

NOW: A toasty summer day. Tonight will be quiet and partly cloudy.

NEXT: Storms overnight Monday into early Tuesday morning with rain showers expected on and off during Tuesday. Flooding is one of the bigger concerns.

FORECAST:

OVERNIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild. Low temperatures in the upper-60s.

MONDAY: Some sun to start, then becoming cloudy in the evening. Dry for most of the day, then storms before midnight. Highs in the mid-80s. Lows near 70.

TUESDAY -- WEATHER TO WATCH: Mostly cloudy with on and off storms. Highs in the low-80s. Lows in the mid-60s.

WEDNESDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs near 80. Lows in the mid-60s.

THURSDAY: Sun and clouds. A stray shower or storm later in the day. Highs in the 80s. Lows in the mid-60s.

FRIDAY: Rain expected early, then clearing out for the weekend. Highs in the 80s.

NEXT WEEKEND: It looks dry so far. Saturday is the pick with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures could soar into the 90s for the start of next week.
