The Westchester jeweler accused of murdering his wife and burning her body says he only admitted killing his wife to stop the "witch hunt" against him.
Lippe was addressing an audio tape recorded by a friend, in which Lippe can be heard admitting to the killing.
Werner Lippe is accused of hitting his wife Faith over the head with a piece of wood and then burning her body in the backyard of their home two years ago.
Earlier this year, a jury was unable to reach a verdict in the case and a mistrial was declared.
