WEST NYACK - People living in flood-prone West Nyack received some welcomed news Friday.

Rep. Nita Lowey, along with state and local government officials, announced close to $10 million for flood remediation and prevention in the hamlet. The money will hopefully prevent the kind of damage inflicted by storms such as Lee, Irene and Sandy.

The storm mitigation projects are scheduled to be completed over the next three years.
