People living in flood-prone West Nyack received some welcomed news Friday.

Rep. Nita Lowey, along with state and local government officials, announced close to $10 million for flood remediation and prevention in the hamlet. The money will hopefully prevent the kind of damage inflicted by storms such as Lee, Irene and Sandy.
