An ambulette service in Westchester is shutting down due to the company not having enough money to continue operating.
United Transportation Providers of Westchester County, Inc was a lifeline for people with serious medical conditions and disabilities.
The shutdown will impact about 1,000 medical trips a day, including transportation for seniors and those receiving dialysis and chemotherapy.
Officials plan to meet at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital Friday morning to give more details.
