DOBBS FERRY - A Westchester County police officer has been hospitalized after being rear-ended on the Saw Mill Parkway by an alleged drunken driver.

Police say Thomas Card, 41, of New Castle, rear-ended the officer's SUV around 3 a.m. today near the Ashford Avenue exit on the parkway in Dobbs Ferry.

The officer was taken to the Westchester Medical Center where he is still undergoing tests and will likely be admitted.

Card refused medical attention, was reportedly uncooperative with officers and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
