YONKERS - County Executive Rob Astorino hasn't announced whether he'll challenge Gov. Andrew Cuomo in November, but attack ads have already started airing.
A 30-second spot paid for by the Westchester County Democratic Committee hit the News 12 airways Wednesday morning, accusing Astorino of spending too much time on the road talking about New York's top job.
The county executive has said that he will announce whether he will run for governor by next week.
He did remark that the ad campaign makes him feel like he is being treated like a threat.
"I let my record speak for itself," he said. "I've cut property taxes, spending and created 300,000 jobs. Maybe they are afraid I'll bring that success statewide."
