A Westchester County teenager who recently lost his father received a special birthday surprise this weekend.
Colin Kennedy's father, NYPD Officer Paul Kennedy, passed away last month.
Since his death, Fund the First started an online campaign that raised more than $20,000 for his son.
Saturday marked the younger Kennedy's 16th birthday, and he was not only presented with a check for more than $20,000, but also hundreds of notes of encouragement.
He says he is extremely grateful for the support.
