What's Cooking: Spaghetti Mare Chiara

Giovanni Annunziata, of Matteo's in Bellmore and Howard Beach, shows News 12's Lily Stolzberg how to make spaghetti Mare Chiara.
Ingredients:
Pasta Mare Chiara
1 pound of spaghetti
3 cloves of garlic diced
12 chopped little neckclams
10 jumbo shrimp chopped
10 cherry tomatoes cut in half
Freshly chopped Parsley
Half a cup of extra virgin olive oil
Pinch of salt
Pinch of black pepper
Instructions:
-In a large pot bring water to a boil.
-In a pan sauté oil and garlic until garlic is a golden brown.
-Add diced clams to the pan with garlic and oil, let sauté for 1 minute.
-Add diced shrimps to the pan and cook for another minute.
-Add the tomatoes, parsley, salt, and pepper to the pan
-Continue stirring all the ingredients together and let cook for another 3-5 minutes.
-Once water has come to a boil add the pasta and cook for 12 minutes.
-From the same pot with the pasta carefully remove 1/2 a cup of the water and put to the side.
-Drain the rest of the water.
-Add the cooked pasta and the 1/2 of cup of water into the pan with other ingredients and continue to stir until evenly mixed.
-Once all is mixed ready to serve hot.
