The White Plains Police Reform Committee met with residents Tuesday night to discuss its policies and procedures.
The "listening session" was the first of three public forums set up to get feedback from the community.
The committee was formed in response to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's New York State Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative.
It requires local agencies to use residents' input in revamping their policing strategies.
The listening sessions are co-sponsored by the White Plains and Greenburgh branch of the NAACP.
