? The official start of winter is more than a week away, but the brutally cold temperatures have already made their way to the Hudson Valley.

Most of the region awoke Wednesday to temperatures in the single digits. Doctors warn people who work outside to keep their skin covered to prevent frostbite. Others are urged to simply limit outdoor exposure.

Temperatures are expected to rise in the next few days.
