People in the Hudson Valley took this weekend to honor the lives lost during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
The sound of bagpipes could be heard as veterans were recognized at the Yonkers VFW Post.
Dozens of local veterans and future members of our military attended the event.
Organizers say ceremonies like this one help people remember those who risked their lives for our freedom. "It's always important to show up to these events; it's always important to keep in memory the sacrifices of the great Americans that came before us," says Jim McGovern, Commander, Yonkers City Post.
