Yonkers set to vote on banning flavored vaping products

If approved, Yonkers would become the first city in the state to ban those products.

A vote on banning the sale of flavored electronic cigarettes is scheduled for today in Yonkers.
Mayor Mike Spano has proposed to ban the types of vaping products that have fruit or other flavors.
So far, there have been several deaths and hundreds of lung illness cases suspected of being connected to vaping nationwide.
The vote is scheduled to take place at the city council meeting at 6 p.m.
If approved, Yonkers would become the first city in the state to ban those products.
