The town board has authorized the purchase of the cameras, cloud storage and tasers with a five-year contract with Axon Enterprises.
Officials say the decision was made in part due to recommendations during the Yorktown Coalition on Community Safety and Engagement meeting in 2021.
Officials say the move reflects the town's commitment to transparency and professionalism.
