An Ulster County probation officer is facing charges following inappropriate conduct in the county jail.

Detectives launched an investigation back in August after learning of a possible officer smuggling a cellphone in for inmates to use. They say they determined the phone was provided to an inmate, Christopher Power, 36, from Kingston, on two separate occasions.
