yesterdayAn oak tree, estimated to be between 450 and 500 years old, suddenly came down in Carmel this weekend.
The homeowner says it happened on Saturday. He says the house is OK, but a truck was damaged and it brought down wires.
The tree is believed to be the oldest White Oak tree in Putnam County.
There is no word yet on why it fell since the homeowner was told that it was healthy.
