The Pine Bush Central School District, which is battling claims of anti-Semitism, welcomed the Anti-Defamation League to its board meeting Wednesday night.
The visit came after students' families filed a civil lawsuit against the district, alleging that anti-Semitic graffiti has been sprayed on school property.
At the meeting, parents held signs that called for tolerance.
"We do not want bullying, discrimination, prejudice or anything else in our schools -- within our towns or within our communities," said Judy Parsells, of the "No Place for Hate" campaign, which is taking root in Pine Bush schools.
Last week, a federal judge threw out the Pine Bush Central School District's request to dismiss part of the civil lawsuit. The district had argued that some of the alleged anti-Jewish graffiti was never reported to school officials.
