Rockland County is mourning the death of a local service member.

Zachary Zamot, of New City, died unexpectedly last Friday.

The 24-year-old was an active-duty soldier stationed with the 160th Aviation Special Forces Group in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

He was a Ramapo High School graduate.
