The arrest of a man accused of burying his girlfriend in an Orange County backyard has shocked residents of a Newburgh street where the victim's family lives. The body of 27-year-old Kathleen Connolly was found buried in the backyard of a home in New Windsor. Connolly's boyfriend and father of her two children, Timothy Handel, has been charged with second-degree murder in her death. Neighbors on Sylvia Street in Newburgh, where Connolly's mother lives, describe the victim as a polite woman from a very good family.
