9h agoNassau police say a Bayville man pointed a green laser at one of their helicopters as it was canvassing for an unrelated incident after 11 p.m. Saturday.
Police say the beam interfered with the pilot’s ability to operate the chopper.
The pilot was able to locate Lance Lee at The Edgewood Motel on Jericho Turnpike where Special Ops officers arrested him.
No injuries were reported.
The 32-year-old is facing charges including reckless endangerment.
Lee was released on an appearance ticket and will be arraigned Aug. 26.
