Bradley International Airport is celebrating a major upgrade with the opening of a new ground transportation center in time for the busy summer vacation season.
Gov. Ned Lamont and both of Connecticut's U.S. Senators were present to help cut the ribbon on the new ground transportation center.
The $210 million project adds 800 new public places and consolidates all nine of the airport's car rental companies under one roof.
The center will also serve as the hub for connecting to public transit at the airport.
The project was financed entirely through rental car user fees.
