Sunny and dry before chance for rain moves in Friday
The sunny, dry weather will once again be the highlight for Thursday on Long Island before a chance for showers on Friday.
It will be cool to start the day Thursday, but it will be mostly sunny and nice with highs around 76 degrees.
Overnight Thursday will be mostly cloudy with the possibility of a shower. Lows will be around 60 degrees.
For Friday, it'll be mostly cloudy with some showers rolling in. Highs will be in the upper-70s.
Over the weekend, rain will remain a threat, but there will also be plenty of dry periods in between.
On Saturday, it'll be more humid and partly sunny with highs in the upper-70s to low-80s. We'll see some pop-up showers in the afternoon with a chance for thunderstorms.
Sunday will be pretty similar -- some sun in between afternoon rain and storm threats. Highs remain in the upper-70s to low-80s.
