CT Department of Public Health opens mobile booster clinics throughout state

The Department of Public Health is opening several mobile booster clinics.
One of the new mobile booster clinics has opened at Jackie Robinson Park in Stamford.
Gov. Ned Lamont says it is concerning that the omicron variant is now circulating in the state, but he says there is no need to panic because the state is ready.
Lamont says the best defense against the Omicron variant is getting vaccinated or getting a booster shot.
The Department of Public Health launched several mobile booster clinics across the state.
Those interested in vaccines or boosters can walk right up to the mobile clinics with no appointment needed.
The clinic at Jackie Robinson Park in Stamford is open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Other locations include the clinic at the Trumbull mall which is open Friday thru Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the clinic at Bradley International Airport that is open Thursday thru Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The mobile booster clinics are in addition to the state's mobile vaccine clinics that have already been in place the past several months.
The clinics still offer first and second doses and pediatric doses in addition to booster shots.
