HEAT ALERT: Heat index in the upper-90s; scattered storms to develop Friday afternoon, evening

NOW AND NEW: Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Steve Teeling says there is a Heat Advisory again for Friday as the heat index values will feel like the upper-90s. Along with the heat and humidity on Friday, scattered downpours and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon and evening. Some of the storms could be stronger with torrential, blinding rain and gusty winds.
NEXT: There is not much change in the forecast through Wednesday. Each day will feature some hazy sunshine and humid conditions with scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms possible.
