Now that the Pfizer COVID-19 is available to young teens, parents must now decide if they will allow their children to get vaccinated.

205ds agoNow that the Pfizer COVID-19 is available to young teens, parents must now decide if they will allow their children to get vaccinated.
Some parents brought their children to the mega vaccination site in Moorestown on Thursday.
“COVID kind of sucks fun out of school,” says 12-year-old Jenna Baron.
The sixth grader says that her first year at Voorhees Middle School has been anything but normal. This is why she decided to get her first dose of the vaccine, with her dad Robert by her side.
“The decision was pretty simple and it was a way for us to get back on the path to normalcy,” Robert Baron says.
Virtua Health’s vaccine site was busy with teenagers coming in to get vaccinated after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gave approval on Wednesday.

“I really just wanted to, first of all, get vaccinated so I can keep my friends and family safe and also just to show kids that it really is going to help benefit you and your family to get vaccinated,” says Donald Cucuzzella of Burlington Township.
Virtua says that on Thursday alone there were more than 800 appointments for children age 12-15. They are expecting to see an uptick in the coming days.
“Appointments are always suggested because then we know for sure that we have the right amount of vaccine on site that day,” says clinic manager Phyllis Worrell. “But they certainly can also walk in. We start accepting walk-ins from 9 a.m. We usually have to cut those off based on vaccine availability about 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m.”
The megasite is open seven days a week. Appointments can be scheduled at Virtua Health’s website.
