Yale New Haven Hospital announced that boarding times are up.
This means that when it is determined that a patient must be admitted to the hospital, it can take over 4 hours to get them out of the waiting room.
The greater wait time occurs when occupancy is up by 85%.
The hospital also reported that 63% of U.S. physicians are experiencing burnout.
These issues can create reduced privacy and comfort for patients.
