Walk-in vaccine appointments are now available at state-run sites for anyone 60 or older.
People 50 years and older could already get their vaccine without an appointment at certain citywide vaccination sites like Co-op City Dreiser Community Center and Brooklyn Army Terminal, but now 16 state-run sites are expanding their eligibility for those who weren't able to book an appointment.
This means that anyone 60 or over can show up to the Yankee Stadium site and receive a dose of the Pfizer vaccine without an appointment.
Four of the other statewide states are in New York City.
Those sites are Medgar Evers College, Javits Center, Aqueduct Racetrack and York College.
News 12 is told the state is going to set aside vaccines to make it available to older New Yorkers as they expand vaccination access.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says they want people who are high risk to get inoculated, especially for the ones that had trouble booking appointments online or don't have Internet access.
