A Levittown man is accused of illegally being in possession of COVID-19 vaccination record cards.
Detectives say officers saw Zachary Honig, 21, sitting in his car with the engine running in East Garden City just before 11 p.m. Tuesday. When officers approached Honig, they say they noticed a pair of brass knuckles.
During an investigation, police say the officers also found eight pre-filled COVID-19 vaccination record cards and more than 50 blank cards.
"They were taken within the last couple of days and his intent was to share them with family members and friends so that they could go into venues and possibly even use them in school when they go back in September," says Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder.
The police commissioner says the cards were taken from a CVS where Honig had been an employee.
Honig is facing a number of charges including criminal possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny.
