Port Chester school reopens after weeklong repairs

Port Chester Middle School is back open this morning after being closed for repairs.
Students have been out of class for more than a week after a concrete panel collapsed and crashed into a classroom. School was not in session at the time, and no one was hurt.
Crews have installed scaffolding to hold up the 50-year-old panels over the all the windows of the school. School officials say crews are inspecting and shoring up all the 90 concrete panels.
News 12 has been told that the work could cost the school district $400,000.
