Pop-up showers possible throughout Monday on Long Island

Monday will be a mixed bag on Long Island, with some pleasant periods, but also a chance for some quick heavy rain.
Expect a mix of sun and clouds with some pop-up showers and even the chance for a brief downpour. In the end, a lot of Monday will be dry and nice. Highs could be up into the mid-60s.
The pop-up shower threat lingers until about 10 p.m. After that, it'll be a partly cloudy overnight, with lows in the mid-40s.
Tuesday is shaping up to be a warm one, with mostly sunny skies and temps into the low-70s in some areas.
Look for possible rain and thunderstorms Wednesday. Gusty winds will also be thrown into the mix. Highs will be in the low-60s.
The winds remain something to watch into Thursday. It'll be a partly sunny day, but winds could reach up to 45 mph. Highs will be in the low-50s.
Friday looks to be a calmer day, with sunny skies and highs in the low-60s.
