Health care workers picket outside Phelps Hospital demanding better conditions

Northwell Health told News 12 it is committed to bargaining to reach a final agreement.

Hundreds of health care workers picketed outside Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow on Wednesday.
They claim management is refusing to listen to their pleas for greater input on issues relating to patient care and staffing.
According to the union, workers are calling for benefits like no-cost family health insurance, guaranteed pensions and education funds from Northwell Health.
Northwell Health told News 12 it is committed to bargaining to reach a final agreement.
