Two women from New Jersey are accused of stealing a dancer?s purse at a West Nyack strip club.
Clarkstown police say 27-year-old Jaquline Aragon and 28-year-old Stephanie Setiff came into the topless club, Lace, late Tuesday afternoon. Sgt. Harry Baumann says the girls got a lap dance from one of the dancers and when the two left, they stole the woman?s purse.
?As [they] were going out, one of the girls hugged the dancer and then one of the other girls lifted the pocketbook from behind the bar,? Baumann says.
Baumann says when the officers arrived on the scene, Setiff resisted arrest.
?One of the girls was arrested for disorderly conduct and one of the ladies was put in a police car and she kicked out the window,? Baumann says.
Police say both the women had been drinking. A bouncer at the club says they were not regulars. The pocketbook was later recovered by police. Officials say it contained $400.
Setiff is being held on $10,000 bail at the Rockland County Jail, while Aragon is being held on $500 bail. Both women are expected to be back in court on Feb. 4.
Both women are facing disorderly conduct, larceny and resisting arrest charges. Setiff is also facing a felony charge for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
