Authorities say a body was found in a wooded area in Spring Valley Saturday evening.

They say someone was taking a walk in the woods by a creek behind Ann Street around 6:30 p.m. when they saw a dead body in the water.

Detectives blocked off Dutch Lane with crime scene tape and called a dive team from PFD.

Authorities have not commented on whether the body was male or female and on the cause of death.
