Bay Ridge residents say parking has continued to be a problem in their area, and some local businesses are to blame.
Neighbors say double-parked cars are a common site on Fourth Avenue and 100th Street thanks to Positano, an Italian restaurant, and Encore, a nightclub. Both establishments offer valet parking, and neighbors say when attendants cannot find a spot, they double park, causing traffic jams.
Attendants are also being accused of reserving spots meant for the public.
Poistano's owner says double parking is not in their valet policy, but they are exploring changes to their protocol to make parking easier for their neighbors.
But hours later, News 12's cameras caught an attendant double parking. The owner responded to this saying he cannot control what happens when he is not around.
Encore's owner disputed all of the claims, saying they have a private lot elsewhere.
The NYPD says the commanding officer is aware of the accusations and is addressing the issue.
