Bridgeport police are warning residents about an iPhone scam after a man was robbed at gunpoint Saturday evening.
Aurang Zeb is from Pakistan and has been visiting his uncle. He says he was on Anson Street to buy an iPhone from a private seller he found on the app LetGo around 9 p.m.
Zeb says the ad he found on the app was selling an iPhone X for $650, when it retails for $1,000. Zeb began texting back and forth with the would-be seller, who said to meet him on Anson Street to pick up the phone.

When he arrived, he says there were three people, with one holding an iPhone box and another holding a gun.
"He point the gun at my head and shouted, ‘Give me everything you have, give me your money, give me your phone and everything you have,’" says the 24-year-old.
Zeb says the men threatened to shoot him before they took his money and his Apple Watch.
Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez is warning residents that they should never make a transaction on a street corner, especially not at night.

"Have the seller meet you at 300 Congress St., it's the Bridgeport Police Department, our lobby is available to anyone," he says.
Perez says investigators are examining surveillance video and searching for the suspects.
Zeb says the people didn't remove the ad, so he's afraid they will harm more people.
Police say people who engage in scams like this are usually desperate for money and should be considered armed and dangerous.
