Caseworker assigned to probe Yonkers family accused in scalding deaths has been fired
The caseworker assigned to investigate the Yonkers parents accused in the scalding deaths of their children was fired Monday.
Two-year-old Elijah Santana and 20-month-old David Maldonado Jr. died of severe burns after police say they were left in a bathroom flooded with scalding hot water. The boys? mother, Luz Arroyo, and David?s father, David Maldonado, have been charged in their deaths.
The family had been investigated by the county?s Child Protective Services Agency. County officials say the worker assigned to the family?s case did not do the job properly.Related story
