Some residents who live at the Concourse Village housing complex are outraged after learning they're about to lose their parking spots.
Residents tell News 12 they received a letter from management on Friday informing them that they have to move their cars by Monday.
They say they are not happy after learning their cars could get towed if they don't move their vehicles out of the garage by Monday.
They're complaining that the letter they received on Friday was short notice and that their needs are not being considered.
Residents say they currently pay $40 a month for parking and if they try to go elsewhere, they worry they could end up paying hundreds of dollars.
Some seniors are calling this an inconvenience because not having their cars in close walking distance is problematic and dangerous. They say they're concerned over having to walk long distances at night to park their cars.
Finding parking is already a challenge in the South Bronx, so with potentially hundreds of residents now forced to park in the street, they're worried it will get even worse.
They're now calling on Concourse Village Management to provide them with alternatives.
News 12 reached out to building management to learn more about the situation and if they're providing any assistance to residents but have not yet heard back.
