The Cozy Spa is Ossining is now closed after an undercover sting led to two arrests – one of which was for prostitution.
Police Chief Kevin Sylvester says the new business on Croton Avenue didn't have any signage and advertised only on adult websites.
The two charged were identified as Yao Fang Pin and Xiu Xia Zhuang, who is facing the prostitution charge.
"The accusation of criminal conduct was almost immediate when they opened up," says Sylvester.
The Cozy Spa was shut down not for alleged prostitution, but for making unauthorized improvements without receiving proper permits.
Word of the spa's closure was welcome news to parents and business owners in Ossining who said there was no place that sort of establishment in the community.
