Students at Stamford High School came together Thursday to support an injured student.
Two days before Christmas, Erwin Hernandez was badly injured after a car plowed through the front of the restaurant where he was working. He had to have his leg amputated.
Grade-level teams competed in a series of events and relays during Thursday event dedicated to Hernandez, aptly named “Erwin Strong.”
Proceeds from t-shirt sales and raffle tickets will help with Hernandez's medical bills.
A GoFundMe page dedicated to helping Hernandez with his medical bills can be found here.
