This week’s Food Truck Friday guest is The Flying Pie Guy, bringing authentic Aussie pies to the Garden State.

As an Australian expat, Mike Peacock began craving his favorite food from the land down under: Aussie pies. He said he decided it was time to introduce the savory food item to the people of America and bought “Matilda,” a 2016 Freightliner MT-45 with a fully custom commercial kitchen on board.

Carrying on a family tradition and carefully duplicating family recipes, Peacock brings fast and friendly service and all natural, savory pies made using farm-to-table ingredients.

The Flying Pie Guy also serves its pies at several retail locations, including The Flying Pie Guy Café in Hazlet.
