Federal prosecutors revealed that a former NYPD officer has pleaded guilty to charges of selling narcotics in Yonkers during a court appearance on Tuesday.
According to court documents, Grace Rose Baez, 38, and her boyfriend at the time, Cesar Martinez, from Yonkers, sold a significant quantity of drugs to a confidential source in October of last year. The packages included over one kilogram of heroin, 400 grams of fentanyl, and 100 grams of fentanyl analogue.
The exchange took place near an apartment shared by Baez and Martinez in Yonkers. Following multiple meetups, police arrested the couple in their apartment after discovering the suspected narcotics.
Baez now faces a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced in July.
