Hastings-on-Hudson residents came together Friday night during a scheduled concert at Zinsser Field to donate much needed supplies to hurricane victims. 

The concert featuring Peter Valentine and Deep Pockets was already scheduled, but the town's Recreation Department turned it into a benefit show, called "Hastings Helping Houston."

Residents were urged to bring supplies, including diapers, feminine hygiene products and cleaning supplies. 

Organizers say it is heartwarming to see so many people have donated.
