Hillburn man back in business after lunch truck is stolen
A Rockland County businessman is serving food again after his lunch truck was stolen last July. According to surveillance video, vandals broke into Jan's Med-A-Car service station in Hillburn, stealing John Nahas' lunch wagon. Having bought a new truck, Nahas says he's excited to be back, yet is still reeling from the loss. "We just finally got a settlement from the insurance, which was only about 40 percent of the total loss we lost besides the lost wages we incurred," Nahas said. Nahas says he had to remortgage his house to buy the new truck, and that only 30 percent of his usual customers have returned. Police have not made any arrests in the case.
