The National Weather Service confirms Putnam County saw at least two tornadoes during Tuesday's storm.
Meteorologists for the National Weather Service on Wednesday confirmed that a tornado of 110 mph struck Kent and one of 100 mph ripped through Patterson.
Thousands of people were without power, and the area had many downed trees and twisted power lines. The streets looked like someone had scattered toothpicks cross the 32-square-mile town.
Despite the damage, there have been no reports of any injuries in Patterson.
With the county under a state of emergency, the National Guard has deployed to help out.
