A new park catered to children and people with disabilities lets them join in on the fun with their friends.
The new Harmony Park ensures kids of all ages can enjoy activities regardless of the level of their abilities, because everything is handicap-accessible.
Plus, the space is safe because it's contained in the CPW courtyard.
“This playground is very spacious, so people can come out here and enjoy themselves,” Nicholas Wheeler said about the new park. “They don't have to feel limited to what they can do.”
Linda Kuck, executive director of Cerebral Palsy of Westchester, said that kids don’t “see a disability.”
“They just see each other, and when they’re out here, they’re free to be who they are and play however they like,” Kuck said.
The park’s features include a merry-go-round, bongos and other fun activities.
