Saturday was opening night for the brand new Hackensack Performing Arts Center, marking the inaugural season of the "PAC the House" series.

The $3 million, 240-seat venue has state-of-the-art sound system and lighting. 

Hackensack PAC also has an art gallery in the basement, which will feature local artists. The venue was built out of the shell of an old Masonic Lodge on State Street.

The venue will feature all types of performances including live music, theatre and dance.
