Officials in Orange County unveiled a new program Tuesday that offers discounts to veterans on everything from food to car washes.
The discounts, which can knock up to 25 percent off an item's list price, will be valid at more than 150 participating stores and companies across the county.
County officials also announced expanded van service to Pine Bush, Montgomery and Walden for disabled veterans going to the VA hospital in Castle Point.
"Anytime we can help vets, we are going to do it," says Orange County Executive Ed Diana.
