Orange County residents protest possible closing of nursing home
The future of a nursing home in Orange County was the topic of debate at a legislature meeting last night.
About 100 people wearing shirts that read "People Not Profits" showed up at a meeting of the Orange County Health and Mental Health committee to show their support for the home.
The Valley View nursing home in Goshen could get cut as part of the county executive's proposed budget for next year.
The legislative committee decided not to vote on the issue and will take it up again next month.
