Police say they are investigating after two different luring incidents in Essex and Passaic counties.

In Newark, three girls were asked to get inside a van, according to investigators.

Investigators say the man approached the girls near Spruce Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

He told them to get in his car, an older model 4-door, tan-colored sedan, with a dent in the front passenger door.

The girls ran away.

In Wanaque, a girl outside the Dunkin' Donuts along Ringwood Avenue says a man tried to get her to look at his dog.

The man was driving a pickup truck with a dog cage in the back.

She too told police about it.

No arrests have been made in either case.
